Our Cooper family portraits

We went to Portrait Innovations and got some Cooper family portraits taken since Hannah was actually in town! We are are glad we got it done before all the drama with Pops health started up!

Jack's first trip to Livingston

We went to do some househunting with Auntie Raychie in Cookeville, and we made a stop in Livingston to see Daddy in action...doesn't he look professional? Do you see Daddy's name on the sign? I guess they wanna keep him around after all. All of Daddy's co-workers thought I was a cutie-pie and I was quite charming! Mommie was glad to get to meet them and see the office (and show me off) too. I slept almost all day while in the car, so later on when we got home that night, I decided to wake up at 3:15 a.m. , and STAY AWAKE! For some reason, even Daddy's magic chest sleeping trick didn't even work! I think Mommie might be starting to get used to these wacky hours. It was a very nice, hopefully successful trip, and it was so nice to visit with Auntie Raychie. We'll let you know more details about our new living arrangements as soon as they are finalized.

I love Daddy's chest....

ALMOST as much as I love Mommie's chest. (Sorry, no pictures allowed of me with her chest...) but it's like magic, put me on Daddy's chest, and I'm out like a light.

Jack's first (real) smile

I wish I could've gotten a picture, but Jack just smiled his first real non-gassy smile. No, it wasn't at Mommie, Daddy or even Maggie, but at Chuck. He and Tish (our former Sunday School Teachers, and two of our favorite people in the world) came by to bring dinner, and as soon as Chuck started talking baby talk to him, Jack let out the cutest, sweetest smile, even with the pacifier in his mouth. Later, with a lot of coaxing, I was able to get some more smiles out of him! How fun!!

CRAZY HAIR!

Mommie's not sure if this is just after a bath, or if I really really need a bath! I'm just trying out my punk-look!

wibble-wobble

I'm getting bigger and steadier all the time. You should see me hold up my head! Mommie weighed me last night and I weigh 13.6 pounds, according to our bathroom scale...but Mommie and Daddy think it always weighs WAY too heavy!! :) I guess we'll see at next week's doctors appointment. Next week I'll be 8 weeks old!

a little late, but still very cute....

From his impromptu "Bertie" photo session, as promised. Notice the professional looking backdrop and lighting.

Visit the blog of Pops and Bertie

http://www.the-tinman.blogspot.com

Go and visit. It's very good!
Isn't that a great title for a blog?
Last update we've heard, they have a furnished apartment in Baltimore and are playing the "waiting game" for a heart. Keep praying.

Another new sweater....

This was supposed to be his "coming home" outfit, but Mommie has a bit of trouble with her sizing....so he just had to gain 4 or 5 pounds for it to fit. He's already transitioning into 3-6 month size, at 6 weeks!!! Just look at those cheeks!! Granny Ruthie wondered why they even make baby shirts with collars, when these babies have no necks. There are too many chins in the way! Apparently we're still not starving him....

Raise your hand if you love Jesus....

I DO, I DO!!!!

Christmas with the Fishers

As soon as I walked in the door, Papa John and Great Grandma wanted to hold me!!
Also, Mimi doesn't think that washing dishes is "#1!", she cut her finger the night before and had to get some stitches. At least she is still smiling.
Take a look at the great gift that Uncle Jeff got during our Dirty Santa gift exchange. Doesn't he look nice in his new robe? He was very excited about it, but as you can see from the next picture, Great Grandma stole it from him on her turn!! That's Dirty Santa for you!

I'm a little wiggle worm

I love napping in my chair. Usually Mommie and Daddy swaddle me up nice and snug and place me in my chair. That's how I sleep best during the day. At some point during this nap, I wiggled right out of my swaddle and almost right out of my chair...and never even woke up.

It's been a hard day.....

Somedays Daddy is so tired from his almost 4 hour commute, that this is about all the Male Bonding fun time we have the energy to have. zzzzzzzz

Update on Pops and Bertie

Pops and Bertie are still way up North in snowy Baltimore. The doctors have decided NOT to put in the VAD machine to help Pop's heart beat better, and instead he is going to hang out up there for a few more weeks. He was on the Heart Transplant List down here at Vanderbilt, and now he is on the list up there in Baltimore. He is waiting up there for a new heart. Hopefully they will get to come back soon! Keep praying for them.

My new favorite socks

Yes, they are penguins. Auntie Hannah gave them to me, and you know Mommie will put them on me every chance she can before I outgrow them.

Christmas with the Coopers

Bertie made me my very own Christmas stocking! Pops figured out a secret to putting me to sleep.

Just an angelic picture

Mommie just couldn't resist puting this one on the blog.

Hangin' with Auntie Hannah

Auntie Hannah made one of her rare trips back to Tennessee just to see little ol' me!! We had to take lots of pictures. Here are some of the cutest ones. The last one is at the airport when we are waiting for her plane back to Portland. You can see I am sad she is leaving!!

My first snowfall

It was snowing today....and Daddy got me all dressed up in my Vanderbilt sweater (Go 'Dores!) to take me out for a Kodak moment....and it stopped snowing. Maybe next time.

Pray for Pops and Bertie

They left yesterday for Baltimore. Pops got really sick a few days ago and had to go to the hospital. They decided that he needed a machine to help his heart beat better, and the best place to get it is in Baltimore. So yesterday they got on a little bitty plane and flew up there. They will be gone 4-8 weeks depending on how long it takes him to feel better. I sure will miss my Pops and Bertie! I'll try to make sure that Mommie and Daddy put lots of pictures on the blog so you can still see how cute I am! :) Get well soon.
