Eden's Baby Dedication

We got to attend Baby Eden's dedication service. Between Sunday School at the Dudugjian's church and FPU at our church in the evening, we attended 3 Baptist Churches on Sunday.

we were so excited that Uncle Daniel came too! We havent seen him since he came back from China in August.
We had a lovely lunch at the church and then went into the chapel. There were about 15 or so babies being dedicated, and...well....you could tell there were 15 or so babies there! ;) At any given time a few were trading off turns of being inconsolable. As a friend of mine recently said, dont you want to go to a church that is so welcoming to young families that it's ok to occasionally be a little disturbed by a young one....for a little while. :) Baby Eden was of course an Angel through the whole thing....I believe she slept through most of it!

oh dont you love these pics?
Somewhere around here my camera battery died...and Rachel's memory card filled up...so we joined forces and used my card in her camera...pretty clever....now just to figure out how to get all these pics to her without freaking out gmail! This all to say, this is why I have about 20x more pics of Eden's dedication than of my own boy's dedication...and the fact that there is at least 3x more family at this one and the weather was much nicer so as to facilitate more group pics.

The Henry/Prine family

awwww

double aww....would you believe that they barely got any sleep the night before due to a fussy baby and possible food poisoning of 2 adults in the household....I think they look GREAT!

Jack LOVED hanging out with his Uncle Daniel!

looking snazzy in his sweater vest...which I found out later may have caused a nasty skin irritation...my poor sensitive little boy!

love this one too!

On Thursday night we got to watch Eden for a little while at Granny Ruthie's house. Wesley LOVED Eden...he was hugging and kissing and snuggling and petting her...it was one of the cutest things I have ever EVER seen...but my arms were so full of holding those 2 little bundles that I couldnt get any pics...so we tried to reenact it here...with a little success.

here is one of his hugs...although I dont know that she appreciated it at much as she did the other night...I think she's getting a mouthful of his hair in this one!

2 sisters with our babies! awwww! they are right at a year apart, I can't believe he was that young last year...or that she will be as grown up next year as he is now! wow times flies!

dont you love the furrowed brow....

I told Rachel that this should be her new profile pic....beautiful!

3 mothers and 3 daughters....how special!

we were really glad Granny Franny could join us!

Granny doesnt usually hold the babies lately...or maybe just not my hulking oversized babies...so we were pleased that she held Eden for a few minutes! :)

Great Fun at GracePoint farm

Daddy went camping with Uncle Kyle this past weekend. I knew I would go crazy and feel sorry for myself being left alone with 2 boys over a weekend, so Granny Ruthie and Mzee and Bertie graciously agreed to be a loving distraction for us. Thursday on our way to Nashville we swung through Gallatin to see Ma Fisher and then came into Nashville. On Friday Mzee took off work early and we went to their Farm (this was the first time we've been in over 2 years!) It was very fun! Here are a few pics of our fun time there!

Before we left Wesley was just being extra cute!

One of my very favorite pics from the whole weekend. As Josh said...this boy is fearless...if it is within his reach, he WILL attempt to conquer it!

sittin like a big boy!

I know these look like cheesy poses...but this is just how he flopped.

and grinned

HI!

Jack decided he wanted his pictures with some trees....the whole family worked hard to plant these pine trees over the last 5 years, and strangely enough, some cedar trees snuck in...

love this boy! look at that adorable smile!

he wanted his picture with this one too! I have no idea why!

Here he is with the smallest tree

and the biggest tree

we walked to a neighbors barn to see their horses, and a guard dog started snarling at us, but it turned out some horses were out back, so the boys got to see them anyway.

Jack got a little bit of piggy back action too!

I can remember back to our last trip to the farm when William and Hannah couldnt stay off the piles of gravel...Jack LOVED playing up there! At one point he even slid down on his belly...I didnt see it or get a picture, but he owns up to it...SO FUNNY!
getting ready to roast hot dogs and marshmallows!

Helping Granny Ruthie drive her blue tractor

all the way down to the river

Mzee, Wesley and I had to walk....
down at the Duck River
another piggy back ride...just before he changed his mind and rode back up on the tractor
