Hannah took a workshop earlier in the summer for teachers, educating them about parks in Portland, and she used her newfound knowledge to show us around!

| First we ate at a yummy deli. Afterwards, Nana took charge of walking these boys around. Looks like Wesley aka-he who never wants to hold hands on busy streets-decided to take it easy on Nana. |

| I know this is wierd...but I took a picture of their trashcans...they are TINY! SO SMALL! I know you can't tell from this picture, but they are probably about half the size of the trashcans we use in our town...maybe less...that is because a lot of people get THREE trashcans...one for trash, one for recyclables, and one for compost (both meat and produce) I thought that was pretty interesting. |

| Hannah took us to a cool park that we dubbed the "I Spy" park. All throughout the park were hidden metal objects in wierd places...like a silverware set, a hat, a juice box, a glove, etc. Jack LOVES I Spy and Highlights Hidden Pictures, so he had a blast listening to our clues and scanning his surroundings for the objects. |

| We also went to a cool place called Council Crest (something about it being the highest point in Portland and the Native American tribes congregated there to have their meetings. We got a cool view of Mt. Hood...not sure you can see it too well in these pictures, but it is a beautiful sight to see just driving around Portland...looks like a postcard! Here Josh is holding it up with his bare hands.... |

| I wish I had gotten a better picture of the area inside that stone wall to the left. There was a metal disk in the ground in the middle of that area and if you stand on it, your voice echoes like you are Billy Graham...but you can only hear it inside the circle...outside it just sounds normal. It was really cool! |

| Portland is called the City of Roses, and we went to the Rose Garden. They were amazing! More types of Roses than you ever imagined! |

| I also fancied myself a nature photographer and took a few more...you wouldnt believe how heavenly this place smelled! |

| afterwards, we all squished in the back...I was tired of being stuck between the boys, so we moved Jack over...bad idea! Those boys picked at each other like...well, like BROTHERS...they enjoyed every minute of driving us CRAZY...and then they fell asleep! This is us waiting for Josh and Hannah to get back in the car. |
